Laurien Dowdy

Laurien Dowdy attended Mary Baldwin College and achieved her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art.

For as long as she can remember, Lauren has loved art. She lists Monet, Matisse and Kadinsky as just a a few of her favorite artists.

Laurien has a wide ranging art portfolio and is always open to creating something new, especially if it is an inspiring piece for herself or her client. As an avid animal lover, however, she thoroughly enjoys painting animal portraits for fellow animal lovers and their family or friends.

The delight of bringing an animal’s spirit and light to a canvas for a person to love and cherish for years to come is a driving force for Laurien and she hopes to share this love of animals and their genuine nature and spirit with as many as she is able to.

Laurien is a wife of 25 years, a mother of two and a grandmother of two who spends time gardening and playing with her three Labrador Retrievers — two chocolate, one yellow.
